Job Summary:

As a packaging designer, you will be passionate about FMCG packaging and will be able to demonstrate this with on point, vibrant designs.

Overall Responsibility:

• You will be proactive in creating new, original and exciting design concepts.
• You will oversee design projects from initial briefing through to final presentation, making sure deadlines are met within project budget.
• Check and proof read designs to ensure a consistent, high level of precision and accuracy.
• Work with style guides and brand guidelines to ensure brand compliance.
• Liaise directly with Account Managers to ensure full understanding of the client’s brief.
• Present designs on brief, on time, in budget and in line with the company’s values and to client satisfaction in a fast paced environment.
• Attend design and project briefings.
• Become more independent, analytical and creative in all disciplines.
• Assist with image searches for new design projects.
• Assist members of the Design team as requested.
• Champion our high standards.

Job Skills and Qualifications:

• 3+ years’ experience in packaging design
• Ability to take ownership and responsibility to take your design projects from initial brief through to final presentation
• An outstanding portfolio of commercial food packaging design
• Working to tight deadlines, you know how choose the best process and tools to deliver on time and in budget
• Strong typographical and illustration skills
• Experience of working with style guides
• Able to collaborate creatively across teams
• Ability to cope with shifting priorities
• Fluent in Adobe Creative Suite/CC (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign)
