Job Summary:

This is a critical role within the agency, you will be the pivotal person liaising between the client and the company’s internal design, artwork and production teams.  You will be responsible for ensuring profitable, on time and on brief delivery of large and small-scale projects, keeping all stakeholders informed where necessary.
Excellent communication skills are required in both German and English in order to liaise with clients and suppliers internationally.  Other languages are also advantageous. You will be experienced in Project managing large ranges and be comfortable in creating, managing and delivering to tight critical path deadlines.
A commercial and entrepreneurial approach is essential, to maintain and grow key client relationships, lock in client accounts and to spot & deliver growth opportunities.
Your attention to detail will be vital to ensure that projects are right first time and all client KPI’s are met.  You will develop strategies to gain their trust, build your own credibility and be confident having strategic and high level creative client meetings/conversations.
You will also possess strong leadership and team development skills, be confident leading a team and have the ability to spot & nurture talent within your team.

  • Strong Project management skills to deliver your own ranges and support the management of your team
  • Ability to create and manage critical paths in line with client requirements.
  • Promote effective communication through strong and lasting relationships internally, facilitating a meaningful interaction at peer level and between departments that ensures the efficient and smooth running of the business.
  • Provide advice and guidance on interpreting and communicating client briefs to your team and often your peers.
  • Be a driver of change and lead from the front where process and technology upgrades are being implemented in the business.
  • A high level of emotional intelligence is required, along with cultural empathy that will ensure you relate and are credible to clients internationally.

Client Relationships:

  • Creating and maintaining long lasting client relationships.
  • To provide strategic direction to clients where required and lead conversations that direct clients.
  • Develop existing and new client relationships to open new opportunities and increase turnover.
  • Ensuring client needs are being met and executed to the highest standards.
  • Communicate with clients professionally, building client relationships to inspire trust and confidence in the Company.
  • Be comfortable with being the client point person, having high level conversations with client stakeholders and knowing when to bring in subject matter experts.


  • Meet and exceed performance metrics including revenue, and quality KPI’s.
  • Responsible for the financial management and budgets of projects and accounts across the team ensuring all time and costs are effectively monitored and projects are invoiced correctly.
  • Identify opportunities for cost savings and process improvements.
  • Construct, develop and deliver account plans to increase the scope of work with your clients and grow revenue.

Team Management:

  • Leading your team effectively; inspire, mentor and coach direct reports and the wider team, at all times being a positive role model.
  • Effectively manage team projects, allocating work with an understanding of relevant skill sets, respective workloads, also taking into account priority jobs and absences.
  • Organise and hold team 1-2-1 meetings and be responsible for general day to day line management.
  • To be responsible for onboarding, training and developing team members.
  • Ensure that team appraisals follow the company process.
  • Responsible to make sure all team members conduct their work profitably and efficiently and are maintaining a standard of high performance.

 Job Skills and Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of account management experience.
  • German language skills in writing and speaking at a professional level as a minimum is essential.
  • Demonstrating an understanding of internal design agency procedures and standards, client expectations, and the demands for executing a high turnover of artworks for a major retailer (thousands of SKU’s per year).
  • FMCG packaging experience.
  • Experience of dealing with clients with high expectations within a pressured environment delivering to tight deadlines.
  • Ability to manage the commerciality of projects to make sure they are profitable and delivered to time scale.
  • You will be flexible and able to co-ordinate multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
  • Team management experience.
