Design/Visualiser and/or Artwork Studio Junior – South London
Job Summary:
As the Studio Junior for the design department and/or Artwork department, you will have a keen interest in design and/or artwork, and fundamentally you will be supporting the design and/or artwork department with its administration responsibilities. You will receive on-the-job learning about the design and/or artwork function, and in time you will use this knowledge to assist the team where necessary.
Overall Responsibility:
- To support the design department and/or artwork team with ad-hoc tasks.
- To continually learn about the business/design/artwork department and the software it uses.
- Assisting and learning to complete design and/or artwork sweepers and amends.
- Assisting with and/or managing own small design and/or projects.
- To possess good communication skills with the ability to be flexible and adjust to priorities quickly and efficiently in line with business requirements.
For the Design/Visualiser Studio Junior:
- Create/update packshots and overviews; ensuring that they are always up to date, including physical folders.
- Assess and coordinate when packshot photography should take place.
- Support the designers on delivering packshots to the client.
- Assisting with project research and creating audits.
For the Artwork Studio Junior:
- Responsible for making precise mock-ups as required by hand to tight deadlines.
- Thoroughly check all prototypes before releasing to the Project Account Manager or other internal staff.
- Having meticulous attention to detail, thoroughly assess and carry out Cutter checks as required.
- Under supervision, prepare and print GMG proof for client approval.
- To assist other members of the Artwork Department as required.
- To learn and take direction about the creation of artworks for food and non-food packaging and printing processes.
