The client wished to update and improve the existing logo and packaging designs for the complete consumer battery range. The aim was to create an international brand that would successfully work in all ALDI SÜD Group countries, which includes European markets, USA and Australia.
The design needed careful consideration due to its complexity. Clear differentiation between battery size and battery type was required to ensure easy consumer navigation.
After design sign-off we were asked to produce comprehensive design guidelines which could be used by the relevant national buying departments and battery suppliers. The guidelines include information on design technicalities, barcoding, colour coding, print specs as well as ensuring that all country specific information is highlighted for easy use in all the ALDI SUD Group countries.
